Welcome Back to Bangkok for the 8th Asia-Pacific Meeting in Otology/Neurotology: The little meeting that continues to grow

The 8th Asia-Pacific Meeting in Otology/Neurotology befittingly circles back to Bangkok where it all began some 16 years ago. The concept of the Asia-Pacific meetings had a humble beginning when former fellows from the University of Toronto returned home and found there was a need to pass on what they had learned to colleagues back home. Since then the meetings have continued to grow and are now a biannual internationally acclaimed regional showcase where each hosting country can proudly show the world what they have accomplished in ear related medicine and surgery. The international scope of this meeting is undeniable and following the inaugural meetings in Bangkok other world centers such as Singapore, Dubai, Penang (Malaysia) and Tehran have hosted this meeting in parallel with their national societies.

On behalf of Professor Saowaros Patarapak and her organizing committee at Chulalongkorn University we would like to welcome those travelling from abroad back to the “land of smiles”. The meeting will run over 4 days and hold hands-on dissection courses, workshops in auditory and vestibular medicine and plenary sessions with lectures/panel sessions from both Thai and international experts in the field. We hope that you will be able to join us for a truly remarkable meeting in February 2018 and once again experience the magic of Thailand.
